‘He no longer smiles’ – Ryan Giggs says Man United star now a shadow of himself

Manchester United legend, Ryan Giggs, has told Marcus Rashford what he needs to do to rediscover his form.

This is after the England international joined Aston Villa on loan.

The 27-year-old made the loan move to Villa Park in the final week of the January transfer window.

The attacker had fallen out of favour with United head coach, Ruben Amorim and needed to secure a move out of the club.

Ryan Giggs is a legend at Old Trafford and a coaching staff when Rashford broke into the first team in 2016.

He opined that Rashford is now a shadow of his old self, claiming that the English attacker has not looked happy recently.

Giggs said the player needs to play with freedom and enjoy himself on the pitch in order to get back to his best.

Speaking to The Sun, Giggs said, “Everyone will remember that smile and that enjoyment and freedom when he first came through — but he doesn’t look like that now.

“He’s a human being and he just doesn’t look happy. He looks like he’s got the world on his shoulders. He needs to play with that freedom and enjoyment that got him to where he is now.”

GOSSIP UNION reports that Rashford was not able find his feet under Ruben Amorim despite game opportunities to prove himself.

The Portuguese manager then dropped him from Manchester United first team leading to his departure from Old Trafford for at least, the end of the season.
