Embattled Chairman of the Senate Committee on Diaspora and NGOs, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan (PDP, Kogi Central), was on Thursday slammed with a six-month suspension by the Senate, which also barred her from participating in all activities of the 10th Senate over her alleged misconduct when she protested against the reassignment of her seat by Senate President Godswill Akpabio on February 20, 2025.

Ogun State Government has sealed indefinitely Quantum Steel Industry in Ogijo in Sagamu Local Government and Xinfeng Plastics Limited along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway following two industrial accidents that occurred at the factories. The government on Thursday, said it had closed down the factories to enable it to investigate the cause of the incident.

A Lagos Special Offences Court has granted bail to Jude Okoye, former manager of the defunct music group P-Square, in an ongoing trial over an alleged theft of $1,019,763.87 and £34,537.59. Justice Rahman Oshodi, presiding over the case, granted Okoye bail in the sum of N50 million with two sureties in like sum.
