According to Iran International English, multiple eyewitnesses posting on social media have recounted that, in the early hours of Saturday, explosions echoed across Eslamshahr, a district in western Tehran, prompting the activation of Iranian air defence systems.

Residents reported loud blasts and flashes of light around midnight local time, with videos circulating online showing what appeared to be the firing of air defense missiles into the sky. The cause of the explosions remains unclear, and Iranian authorities have yet to issue an official statement.

The incident sparked widespread speculation on Iranian social media platforms, with users debating whether the blasts were the result of a foreign drone incursion, internal military drills, or another security incident.
